KDMcCall, Can't Begin Again, from the Candles collection, 12/1993
Life's Undone
This movie's off and running,
and you've missed half the fun.
You've missed all the beginning,
you can only catch the end.
Life ain't got no replay, you can't begin again.
Can't begin again.
Life ain't got no replay, you can't begin again.
But wait!
I can. I can begin again. We live in a world today, where it's possible to re-create oneself and there's lots of help available to help you do just that.
I got an email this week about the eagle and how he re-births himself to enter the second part of his life. Let me see if I can find a blog post... and just that fast I find that the power point presentation that's circulating on the Internet about the Eagle's transitioning into the second phase of his life is not true, but a myth. I'm disappointed, I wanted to believe, but you know what, we have to start with the truth. In our 50s we can sort through and resolve the problems we brought with us to this phase of our lives. We have a chance to evaluate, to weigh and measure the results we have on-hand, to make decisions that will start us in a new direction with new guidelines. We can begin again. A preamble to beginning again, however, is facing the facts. "The truth shall set you free" is a great place to start.
No excuses.
